Mario as a Chicken? It almost happened

What do you think? Would Chicken Mario be a powerup that you'd like? Seems like it might have potential, but it is definitely outdone by another Mario powerup. Demon Mario was also a very likely possibility at one point, but I guess for obvious reasons this Mario never came to be.
