Resident Evil Revelations Halloween 2011 Gameplay Trailer

Resident Evil Revelations Fact Sheet

GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW
Built from the ground up to take advantage of the Nintendo 3DS features, Resident Evil Revelations delivers an exceptional survival horror experience with outstanding visuals that bring the fear to life.

Resident Evil Revelations introduces a brand new storyline, locations and characters to the series, including playable characters and BSAA members Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield and Keith Lumley with their partners Parker Luciani, Jessica Sherawat and Quint Cetcham.

Jill Valentine and BSAA partner Parker Luciani have been sent to search for Chris Redfield, whose last known GPS data positions him as being onboard a supposedly abandoned cruise ship. Danger hides around every corner as they explore the confined space of the ship and face a menacing new enemy and virus; the T-Abyss.

In a brand new mode for the series, Raid Mode will offer players a different kind of experience separate to the main campaign story in either solo or co-op play. Compete in a variety of missions to defeat enemies and level up your character and gain more powerful weapons. Earn points for the enemies you attack and select from a range of upgrades to improve your weapon’s performance.

Ton of Super Mario 3D Land Post-Game Spoilers

A ton of Super Mario 3D spoilers were mentioned in a new impressions article over at Nintendo World Report. These details are pretty neat and will definitely lack the surprise factor if you read them. I'll mark it as a spoiler, so don't read on unless you want to of course...

SPOILERS

Another Super Mario 3D Land Score...

Famitsu gives a final score to games using four different reviewers' scores. Super Mario 3D Land is coming out very soon (November 13) and received one hell of a score from Famitsu. It received a 9/9/10/10; a grand total of 38/40. This score seems to be where I thought the game might be, and is definitely better than Edge's 8/10 (which is still a mighty fine score). I'm officially hyped for this game, which I should get this holiday season when I finally land a 3DS.

First Super Mario 3D Land Review Score is In...

Another "first" review score hits the Internet from Edge magazine. They have given Super Mario 3D Land an 8/10, which is a pretty respectable score. I think it looks much better than an "8" in the trailers and gameplay footage that I've seen, but 8 is still a very high score!

Another Wii Game Gets A Perfect Score...

This time the perfect score goes to Kirby's Return to Dream Land and comes from Destructoid. Even before one plays this game it is easy to see that we are thrown back to the classic sidescrolling gameplay that made Kirby a star, but a perfect score solidifies that this is a must buy. I was hoping to have the game by now, and have the review up for today, but it hasn't reached me yet. I'm hoping that the game lands on my doorstep today, so that I could have a review ready for this week!

Toki Tori 2 Coming To Nintendo in 2012

Amersfoort - October 18th 2011 - Exactly ten years after the release of Toki Tori for Game Boy Color, Dutch game developer Two Tribes announces the development of the long-awaited sequel. Toki Tori 2 will see Two Tribes' poultry mascot character return in a completely new adventure, developed from the ground up for today's players and technology. The initial release will be through Steam for PC and Mac in the spring of 2012. Continuing the tradition of Two Tribes to support multiple platforms, subsequent releases on downloadable stores from Apple, Nintendo and more are planned.

Monster Hunter 3G Will Not Support Online Play

At least that's what Capcom had to say about the game concerning the Japanese release. With Monster Hunter Tri being built around an online experience, it is a bit odd to see that feature dropped for the Nintendo 3DS port. Capcom did confirm that downloadable quests would be available through the Internet.

Maybe this is similar to the situation of Japan having to pay for Monster Hunter Tri online and North America got it for free. Except that this time around Japan gets nothing and we could possibly get online play? It's a wait and see situation with Capcom asking us to stay tuned for North America news.

Skyward Sword is not Lefty Friendly says Kotaku

Stephen Totilo Kotaku is reporting that Skyward Sword does not have a left handed option. This is contrary to the Rewind Theater video that IGN produced earlier this month that clearly states a left handed mode for Skyward Sword is available.

I know if I was left handed I would feel a little slighted by Nintendo. I don't think it's a deal breaker by any means, but it may take some time to get accustomed to the controls.

Fils-Aime will be on GameTrailers TV to showcase Skyward Sword

Spike TV has announced that Reggie Fils-Aime will be appearing on GameTrailers TV to talk about Skyward Sword. Not only will he discuss the upcoming Wii heavy hitter, but he will also show off exclusive footage of the game with never before seen gameplay and details. All of this will go down on October 27th which is just about two weeks away.

Just thinking about what Reggie has in store for us die hard Nintendo enthusiasts has got me even more excited for Skyward Sword's release. Maybe Reggie will show off those "Medals" that loose lips Fi revealed to Kotaku.

We are WiiWare Site Lets you get to know Developers

We are WiiWare is a site that launched on October 10th as part of the Nintendo.co.uk website. It is a site designed to help promote select WiiWare titles and the developers behind them. There are a few games being featured over there at the moment such as MotoHeroz and Fluidity (Hydroventure). Each game has a well produced video that will show us some of the ideas behind the development of our favourite WiiWare titles. It feels very personable and I think it's a brilliant way to help consumers learn about games they may not have considered before.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Pre-Order Fulfilled - Mini Wii Motion Plus Ramble

Just a little over a week ago I finally ponied up and put down a fat tenner to reserve Skyward Sword. After only a second visit to EB Games I was able to put down the other seventy bucks required to receive a copy of the game on November 20. Eighty dollars is a bit pricey for a new Wii game, but for this bundle it is definitely worth the cash. Aside from the CD and of course the game, I'm excited to get my hands on that awesome gold Wii Remote Plus, partly because my experience with Wii Motion Plus is very limited.

I did get to try it out a bit when playing Wii Sports Resort at a friends, but also when reviewing Wii Play Motion, but that's literally listing everything. I never got the opportunity to play Red Steel 2, or to try it with a few sports titles that support the device, but I was certainly impressed with my tiny tenure. I'm looking forward to dropping foes with Link's sword and whatever else Skyward Sword wants to throw at me Wii Motion Plus wise.

Anyway, that's really all I wanted to say. Before I go, however, I wanted to say that I would be blogging about the game and of course a review will follow my playtime with Skyward Sword. In the meantime I will likely borrow a copy of Kirby's Return to Dream Land to review, so there is some stuff on the way. More Zelda Top 10's as well!

Hint: Star Fox 64 has something in common with the theme of our next Top 10.
