Were you concerned that this title might not make it to our shores? Well, no need to worry any longer as Square-Enix has just announced that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy will be launching in North America sometime during Summer 2012.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a quirky music rhythm game that will be bringing more than 70 tracks spanning the 25 year long series. Music will be taken from key events that happened in the series, the fantastic field themes, as well as important battles. This game features an adorable chibi-esque design that not only focuses on music, but also includes some RPG elements as well. Among adventuring and battling villains from the series with your stylus you can also expect the following:
- Revisit their most cherished memories from each FINAL FANTASY title
- Strive to achieve the highest ranks in the challenge mode
- Collect and share "dark notes," a random music sheet that is riddled with hidden loot within the Chaos Shrine
- Seek out crystal shards to unlock hidden characters

That's funny. I just did a Localizations, Please! article regarding five 3DS games I wanted to see localized, and this was one of them. :)
ReplyDeleteConcept is cool, but I'm not sold on the game as of yet. A demo would be awesome!
