If there was ever a sad story concerning the WiiWare service, it has to be this one. Nicalis has just informed the gaming world via Twitter of their plans to cancel the WiiWare version of La-Mulana in North America and Europe. This is a game that has been jumping through Nintendo's WiiWare publishing hoops for about two years now, so it's not surprising to see the project end this way.
Looks like they're getting alot of flac on twitter tonight as well. It all seems a bit unwarranted, though I wasn't really interested in the game to begin with.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand, Nintendo of America/Europe have been rejecting the game for awhile due to it being unfinished, or lacking of quality, so the flac could go both ways. Ultimately, you are held accountable for the quality product you produce, so Nintendo could be in the right.
