New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA – May 1, 2012 – Spike TV and GameTrailers
will team up this summer to deliver extensive multi-platform coverage
of the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo with “E3 All Access Live.”
The live special will provide gamers with over 40 gaming exclusives and
special guest interviews with more than 17 hours of coverage across
multiple platforms. Spike’s and GameTrailers’ 2011 live E3
multi-platform special was the number one destination for E3 coverage
last year*, garnering more than 10 million combined online and on-air
viewers, and was also the largest live streaming event in Viacom
history.
For the first time ever, Spike will partner with sister Viacom Media Networks, such as MTV2; MTVU; VH1; Tr3s: Música y Más and others to provide additional programming coverage.
“We’re thrilled to once again be the go-to destination for all things E3 and look forward to bringing the biggest and best coverage fans have ever seen with our multi-platform ‘E3 All Access Live’ special,” said Jon Slusser, Senior Vice President, Sports and Multi-platform Programming, Spike TV.
“This year, we’re taking our live multi-platform event to an even bigger level by working with multiple Viacom channels to deliver all the top E3 news and exclusives to even more fans than ever before.”
“E3 All Access Live” will be supported on Spike TV through “GTTV with Geoff Keighley,” “All Access Weekly” and “Playbook 360;” online on Spike.com and GameTrailers.com; socially through its Facebook and Twitter feed @SpikeTV; through mobile phones and tablets including iPhone, iPad and Android devices, as well as on the big screens in New York City’s Times Square.
Spike’s E3 expert team include “GTTV” hosts Geoff Keighley, Amanda Mackay, Daniel Kayser, and Justine Ezarik, as well as Katie Linendoll, host of the network’s newest tech-centric show, “All Access Weekly.”
The “E3 All Access Live” team will broadcast from its own E3 studio overlooking the Los Angeles Convention Center and will feature the industry’s top press conference events, breaking gaming news and announcements, never-before-seen trailers and gameplay footage, exclusive interviews with the biggest names in gaming and entertainment and much more to be announced in the next coming weeks.
